So it turns out that living driving distance to numerous flea markets and antique shops may be a bad thing for me.
Hold on, I don't mean that.
What I meant to say was living driving distance away from flea markets/antique shops is a bad thing for my wallet! I happen to looove shopping at vintage stores, discovering little treasures here and there. In fact, I live for it. I especially have a weakness for jewelry and decorative things! And I can't help loving everything girly, floral, intricate, and straight up baroque. I was definitely limited in what I could buy due to (ahem) shopping sprees spent elsewhere and having no knowledge of the adventure beforehand, but I did manage to collect some beautiful things. Here are some of my finds:
A needlepoint pendant (haggled down to $8 or $9 from $15), a cameo Muse-inspired brooch/pendant ($5), a floral bracelet ($10), and a small pin ($1).
Check out the close-ups below:
It's hard choosing my favorite find, but after my mom commented that the three muses could represent my two sisters and I, I elected the cameo brooch my fav. =]
Then I found, and oh my goodness, I'm so excited about them, these gorgeous little pictures of ballerinas! I don't have my own place yet, but I anticipate decorating my future home with these lovelies. I have such eclectic tastes and styles that I can only imagine my future space being equally as diverse. Still, I love my ballerinas:
These frames were 4 for $12, but the vendor gave 'em to me for $8. Pretty sweet, huh?
How pretty are these?!
Until next time!
